New Sensation captures Loco Tranquilo’s evolving sound and journey towards finding true love, and builds upon his first two releases with Golden Flower and Dimension Love, which recently hit Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist.
In New Sensation, Gervasi evokes his signature theme of dreamy, romantic wanderlust, with a two-part song that represents explorative travel along California coastal roads in search of freedom and new sensations – and ultimately being led in a new direction by finding real love.
A conceptual delight, the single encapsulates the dualism in Loco Tranquilo’s moniker in its two parts. The first unfolds with “loco” grooves – funky guitar riffs, sax solos and Julián’s catchy, surf-rock sound that represents energizing feelings. The second “tranquilo” section brings seaside melodies and a jazzy, rooted lullaby sound that represents more calming sensations.
Produced and recorded at Coyote Hearing Studios by Mackenzie Bunch and Julián Gervasi, the effervescent essence in New Sensation echoes the psychedelic sound and visuals of the 60s, with a fresh, surf-pop reverberation, distinctive in its Loco Tranquilo flavor.
